Hello Guys and Ghouls!


Welcome to our very first blog filled with spooky recommendations to get your through this fine Halloween season.


This is for anyone who is a fan of Halloween Town, The Nightmare Before Christmas, IT, the Exorcist, The Silence of the Lambs and Frankenstein. If you haven't seen any of those movies, we highly recommend checking them out ASAP but first, check out these books!


  • Mexican Goth by Silvia Morena-Garcia- a gothic story set in 1920s Mexico.
  • The Southern Book Club's Guide to Slaying Vampires by Grady Hendrix- think rich wives with nothing better to do but gossip, raise teenagers and drink wine while checking out their single, attractive new neighborhood bachelor. 
  • The Good Indians by Stephen Graham Jones- four men must face their past as an angry entity seeks them for a mistake they made in their youth. 
  • The Shadows by Alex North- Creepy teenager is accused of a gruesome crime. Fast forward to adulthood and there may be another murder, possibly a new murderer? Or is this once teen killer striking again while behind bars. 
  • Into the Drowning Deep by Mira Grant- A group making a Mockumentary disappears in the Mariana Trench. Years later a second group sets out to discover what happened to the original group and things take a turn for the worst. 
  • A Head Full of Ghosts by Paul Tremblay- simple, gives you Exorcist vibes.
